With Croatia being already out of the FIBA World Cup 2023, Bogdanovic and co are more than eager for the Eurobasket

Croatia has missed the train for the FIBA World Cup and good performance in the upcoming Eurobasket might be their only saving grace.

That’s why against Bulgaria – which still didn’t have Sasha Vezenkov and naturalized point guard Dee Bost available – Bojan Bogdanovic, Ivica Zubac, Dario Saric, Mario Hezonja and the rest of the team had more than a great motivation to get the 98-68 win in the tournament of the city Pardubice in the Czech Republic.

Karlo Matkovic (photo) who started in the game was the top scorer of the contest with 16 points, Toni Perkovic added 15, while Zubac had 12 in less than 12 minutes of action.

Croatian national team coach Damir Mulaomerovic used in total of 14 players. Naturalized David Kravish and Ventsislav Petkov scored 11 points each for Bulgaria, which is part of Group A which also includes hosts Georgia, Montenegro, Spain, Turkey, and Belgium.

Croatia will play in Milan in Group C with Italy, Greece, Estonia, Ukraine, and Great Britain.
