The French basketball federation announced today the 17-players preselection of the team for the upcoming Olympic qualifying tournament.
As expected, many players from the NBA are missing, but Tony Parker, Boris Diawy and Nicolas Batum are included, even if the last two have a big question mark near their name. If they manage to get a new deal in time in the NBA and sign it, then they may be able to play in Manila’s tournament which starts on the 5th of July.
Here’s the 17 players selected by coach Vincent Collet: Tony Parker, Thomas Heurtel, Nando De Colo, Antoine Diot, Fabien Causeur, Rodrigue Beaubois, Nicolas Batum, Charles Kahudi, Yakuba Ouattara, Boris Diaw, Florent Pietrus, Adrien Moerman, Kim Tillie, Mam Jaiteh, Alexis Ajinça, Mickael Gelabale, Joffrey Lauvergne.
