Donatas Motiejunas announced he won’t participate in Rio’s Olympics along with the Lithuanian national team, due to his free agency in the NBA as 15min.lt reports. The player hasn’t found a team yet, but it is likely that he will stay with the Rockets.
“The Olympics has been my dream, but no matter how unfortunate and painful it is, at this moment I can not go to Rio with the national team”, said the player who’s recovering from a severe back injury.
Currently, the 25-year-old Lithuanian player is considered one of the top remaining free agents in the NBA market and he’s waiting for a new contract.
