The Spanish three players who retired this summer were honored at the halftime of the game between Spain and Latvia.

He is an icon in Barcelona, but Juan Carlos Navarro received the gold badge of the Spanish Basketball Federation and a standing ovation by the 7.900 fans of Madrid’s WiZink center.

Navarro, who is the record holder of games played with the Spanish national team (253) and also the winner of a total of 12 medals with the team, decided to call it a day this summer. He is part of the Spanish “Golden Generation” and its leader together with his close friend Pau Gasol.

Navarro together with Alex Mumbru and Albert Miralles who also retired this summer was also honored by ABP, the union of Spanish basketball players.
