After extending his contract with Turkey’s national team, Ufuk Sarica discussed several related topics with Anadolu Agency. The 47-year-old Turkish head coach touched on the possibility of Shane Larkin playing for Turkey presenting his view on the matter at hand and naturalized players in general.

“I cannot say ‘Let’s naturalize a player’ just like that, but we can discuss about it if it comes to the agenda,” explains Sarica, “If the TBF and the President are okay with it, why would not we evaluate the possibility but we already have some players.”

“When we naturalize every player, they may leave our country too, as we have seen from Scottie Wilbekin for example. Maybe we need to take a measure about it,” he added, “Is our country going to continue with same teams? That is arguable.”

“I surely like the way Shane Larkin plays, I think he is really a valuable player” he also noted on the 27-year-old Anadolu Efes point guard.
