The Miami Heat celebrated Dwyane Wade’s career and retired his jersey on Saturday evening. His No. 3 was lifted into the rafters of the AmericanAirlines Arena during halftime of the 2019-20 NBA Regular Season contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Wade spent most of his career with the Heat. Played 66 matches with the Chicago Bulls in 2016-17 and 46 with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017-18, but the rest of his 1.231 appearances including playoffs through 16 seasons came with the Heat. Was crowned NBA champion three times and was named Finals MVP in 2006.

Jerseys previously retired by the Florida organization belonged to Chris Bosh (1), Tim Hardaway (10), Michael Jordan (23), Shaquille O’Neal (32) and Alonzo Mourning (33).
