The Dallas Mavericks suffered a loss to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday evening. Luka Doncic scored a game-high 36 points overcoming the physical defense imposed by opposing players. He even underwent an X-ray at halftime after being kneed in the jaw by Edmond Summer.

“They hit me in the face and that should be a foul,” he said while revealing that the X-rays were negative, “They should look at it. I think the rule is when you get hit in the face, they’ve got to look if it’s flagrant or no, right? As I said, it was hit in the face three times. Two of them was not a foul.”

The knee-to-the-jaw was called by the referees, but Doncic earned no foul after taking an elbow from Victor Oladipo in the fourth quarter. As a result, his mouth was bleeding. “They didn’t care,” he mentioned after the conclusion of the tilt, “It was clear. Everybody saw.”

It certainly wasn’t the first over-the-top defensive attitude towards the Slovenian sensation. Head coach Rick Carlisle has occasionally pointed out during the 2019-20 NBA Regular Season that his star player has been targeted in such manner several times.
