The NBA will require a number of coronavirus tests that is estimated to be around 15,000 in order to restart and complete the 2019-2020 season, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

While this amount can be guaranteed by companies providing the kits and the NBA has the necessary resources of obtaining them, ESPN also reports that commissioner Adam Silver isn’t planning to accept the league amassing such a large number of while there’s still a high demand by the American public and, at the same time, not optimal access to coronavirus rests.

Silver wants to see the season resume and concluded with a team crowned champion.

The NBA was suspended indefinitely on March 11 when Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus. Gobert, along with teammate Donovan Mitchell, recovered approximately two weeks afterward.
