With Mavs big man Willie Cauley-Stein deciding to skip the end of the season NBA tournament at Orlando, Trey Burke was added in Dallas roster.

Cauley-Stein decided to stay with his family, being a new father, and despite losing a center, Mavs signed Burke, who spent the second half of the 2018-2019 season in Dallas as part of the Kristaps Porzingis trade, coming from the Knicks.

The 27-years old guard is practically substituting for Jalen Brunson, who will travel to Florida but not play due to injuries.

Burke started the season with the Sixers, but on February 6, 2020, he was waived.
