Washington Wizards’ Thomas Bryant and Gary Payton II tested positive for coronavirus, reports The Washington Post. Both players are not expected to travel to Orlando, site of the single-site tournament to resume and end the 2019-20 NBA season.

In addition, Garrison Mathews did not make the trip with the rest of the team to Orlando due to personal reasons. Previously ruled out were Davis Bertans, Bradley Beal, and John Wall.

The options for the Wizards are to wait for the above players to be cleared for the trip to Orlando or add substitute players for the season-ending tournament. A player contracting coronavirus must go through two negative tests to enter the bubble at Orlando.

Washington is ranked ninth in the Eastern Conference, 5.5 wins behind eighth place ahead of the eight additional regular season games set to be part of the upcoming tournament set to begin on July 30. The top eight teams from each conference will advance to the playoffs.
