Ricky Rubio didn’t travel with the Phoenix Suns to Orlando, Florida for the NBA restart and, as of Sunday (19/7), hasn’t joined the team’s practices according to a report by AZ Central.
Other players like Rubio are center Aron Baynes, guard Elie Okobo, and rookie Jalen Lecque.
Rubio was previously reported to be absent from any team activities in the bubble. Suns coach Monty Williams had declined to comment specifically regarding who among his players are present in the Walt Disney World resort.
“I’m not going to talk about who’s here, who’s not here,” Williams said. “It’s a tough one for me because medically, I can’t talk about stuff. That’s where I just have to leave it. You guys (the media) know me. I don’t ever want to be rude to you guys. I understand you have a job to do, but there’s a limit on what I can talk about.”
Rubio averaged 13.1 points, 8.9 assists and 4.6 rebounds before the NBA shut down in March.
