Kevin Garnett and a group of investors are seriously interested in and exploring a bid to buy Minnesota Timberwolves from Glen Taylor, according to Shams Charania.
Taylor confirmed that several potential ownership groups have expressed interest in purchasing the Timberwolves and that he is seriously considering all options.
For Garnett, this bid is personal because of his stature within the franchise. The 15 times All-Star spent the first 12 years of his career with the T’Wolves (1995-2207) and eventually came back for one last run (2015-16).
Garnett wishes to purchase the team and keep it in Minnesota which has also been one of the requirements made by Taylor.
