Milwaukee Bucks won’t be able to count on Eric Bledsoe and Pat Connaughton in the opener against the Boston Celtics

Eric Bledsoe and Pat Connaughton both practiced with the team but won’t be playing for the Milwaukee Bucks in their opener against the Boston Celtics, coach Mike Budenholzer confirmed, per ESPN’s Malika Andrews.

The backcourt duo tested positive for coronavirus and was among the late arrivals to the NBA bubble in Orlando. They didn’t play in any of the squad’s scrimmages.

That shouldn’t pose too much of a trouble, as seeding-wise, Milwaukee certainly doesn’t feel any pressure with a league-best record and practically clinched spot No. 1.

On the other side, a win would mean much more to the Celtics who are getting Kemba Walker back from a knee injury, although, he will be on minutes restriction nonetheless.
