The Miami Heat overpowered Nikola Jokic’s Denver Nuggets in the second half.

The Miami Heat had a powerful offensive performance in the second half to defeat the Denver Nuggets 125 – 105 and get their first win of the NBA restart. The Nuggets, that were missing Jamal Murray, Will Barton and Gary Harris, lost in their first bubble match.

After trailing 58 – 64 early in the third period, the Heat made a counterattack to grab a 94 – 79 lead at the end of the quarter. They remained in control for the remainder of the game.

Bam Adebayo (22 points, nine rebounds, six assists) and Jimmy Butler (22 points, seven assists) paced the Heat. Goran Dragic finished with 13 points plus five assists in 24 minutes off the bench.

Nikola Jokic completed the match with 19 points plus team-highs seven assists and six rebounds for the Nuggets. Most of his production arrived in the first half, during which he had 14 points, five assists, and four rebounds.

The Heat next face the Toronto Raptors on 3/8 while the Nuggets play against Oklahoma City Thunder the same day.
