With nine minutes left in the third quarter, Kristaps Porzingis wanted to defend his teammate Luka Doncic against Marcus Morris and ended up getting a second technical foul and being ejected.

“I saw him getting into Luka’s face and I didn’t like that. That’s why I reacted.” Porzingis said. “That’s a smart, smart thing to do from their part. I’ve just got to be smarter and control my emotions, especially in the first one.”

Porzingis had picked up his first technical foul in the first half for his reaction to a foul called when he believed he’d blocked a shot. Here are the full quotes of the Latvian “Unicorn” after the game.
