Porzingis, Doncic not enough for Mavs vs. Clippers

Despite a big double-double by Kristaps Porzingis and a new historic triple-double by Luka Doncic, the Dallas Mavericks fell to Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers 130 – 122 in Gamed 3 of the series. The Clippers are now leading 2-1.

Porzingis posted 34 points and 13 rebounds to become the first Mavericks player with 30+ points and 10+ rebounds for the club in the playoffs since Dirk Nowitzki had 34 points and 11 rebounds in Game 3 of the 2011 NBA Finals. Doncic had 13 points (5-20 shots, 4-10 free throws), 11 assists and 10 rebounds before exiting the game with a sprained ankle in the third period.

Kawhi Leonard scored 36 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out eight assists to lead the Clippers to the win. Ivica Zubac contributed 15 points and six rebounds.

The Boston Celtics are one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference semifinals after beating the Philadelphia 76ers 102 – 94 for the 3-0. Kemba Walker had 24 points and eight rebounds while Jaylen Brown added 21 points and seven boards for the winning squad. Daniel Theis finished with eight points plus five rebounds and Enes Kanter with six points and six boards.

Joel Embiid led the Sixers with 30 points and 13 rebounds.
