Celtics snapped back to take the lead once again in the Eastern Conference semifinals

Jaylen Brown scored 27 points and the Boston Celtics defeated the Toronto Raptors 111-89 in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on Monday night, bouncing back from a two-game losing streak.

The Celtics now lead the series 3-2 and can earn their ticket to the East finals with a victory on Wednesday.

Kemba Walker posted 21 points for the winners, Jayson Tatum scored 18 points, Daniel Theis and Brad Wanamaker each had 15 points and Marcus Smart added 12 points.

On the other end of the court, Fred VanVleet tapped 18 points for Toronto, that trailed by as many as 30 in Game 5. Norman Powell had 16 points, as Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry posted 10 points apiece. Matt Thomas also had 10 for Toronto.
