Another kind of “championship” for Michael Jordan.

Michael Jordan’s “The Last Dance” won the 2020 Emmy award for Outstanding Documentary or Non-Fiction Series.

The documentary, which was co-produced by ESPN and Netflix, centralized around the 90s’ Chicago Bulls that won six NBA championships and was specifically focused on Jordan’s last season with the team in 1997-1998. It featured interviews by numerous Bulls players of that era and provided behind-the-scenes footage and information on the team that dominated the NBA during that decade.

“The Last Dance” beat American Masters, Hillary, McMillion$ and “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness”. It was also nominated for Outstanding Directing For A Documentary and Outstanding Picture Editing For A Nonfiction Program.
