The latest hot prospect coming from Europe, Deni Avdija gaining momentum as the 2020 draft approaches

The 2020 NBA draft scheduled to be held November 18 may bring Deni Avdija to the Golden State Warriors, The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor projects in his latest mock draft.

The Warriors hold the second pick and certainly have plenty of options, the 19-year-old forward coming out of Maccabi Tel Aviv among the young upstarts. The latest report regarding Avdija’s draft rise notes that many league executives expect him to enter the mainstream conversation as a top-three pick as the draft approaches.

Avdija, after helping Maccabi to its latest domestic championship is focused on the upcoming draft. Last season, he went for 4.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game, also posted 12.9 points per Israeli league contest.

As for the #1 pick, executives believe the Minnesota Timberwolves are open to trade their selection to bring in a win-now player, according to the mentioned mock draft. Coming out of Georgia, Anthony Edwards is currently projected by most draft experts as the top pick.
