The New York Knicks seem to be liking Killian Hayes enough to consider him an attractive option if the French player becomes available for them in the upcoming NBA Draft.

According to the New York Post, Hayes has “a narrow edge” over all other guards for the Knicks after LaMelo Ball. While the Knicks are intrigued by what Hayes can bring to them, they will select with the No. 8 pick and it’s quite possible (at least according to various mock Drafts) that Hayes will already be taken by then.

The Knicks had previously selected Frank Ntilikina, another French guard, with the no. 8 pick in 2017.

Last season Hayes, 19, averaged 12.8 points, 6.2 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 26:46 minutes over 10 EuroCup games plus 11.6 points, 5.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds in the 25:08 minutes over 20 games of the German League.
