Terence Davis was arrested in New York City, police confirmed.
The Toronto Raptors guard was charged with assault and criminal mischief. He allegedly assaulted a woman Tuesday night, shortly before 10 p.m in an apartment building on the East Side of Manhattan.
“We’re aware of the reports and are seeking more information,” a team spokesperson told the Star.
Davis allegedly struck his girlfriend in the eye, also broke the screen of her phone, according to the police.
Coming out of Ole Miss, he went undrafted but signed with the Raptors and eventually earned a spot in the All-Rookie Second Team. His first NBA campaign featured 7.5 points, 3.3. rebounds, and 1.6 assists per regular-season match, and 7.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per playoffs tilt in the NBA bubble set up in Orlando.
