More major changes may be coming for the Houston Rockets

Russell Westbrook would like a change of scenery, according to a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic. However, teammate James Harden remains committed to the Houston Rockets moving forward into the 2020-21 NBA season, sources tell Charania and Kelly Iko of The Athletic.

Westbrook, 32, was traded to the Rockets last summer after nine seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder. His reported updated status signals his concern on the direction of the franchise and his preference in moving to a team for a role similar to the one he had with the Thunder.

A potential trade including Westbrook can be extremely complicated under current conditions regarding draft selections, as several picks were surrendered to capture the former UCLA standout in the first place.

Harden, 31, looks like the centerpiece for the Rockets hoping to build a title-contending squad. He was recently linked to the Philadelphia 76ers but seems locked in for a ninth season in Houston.
