The Houston Rockets and the Washington Wizards have discussed a deal centered on Russell Westbrook for John Wall, according to Shams Charania.

There is no traction yet on the deal and the Rockets are asking for additional assets in the package with Wall who is coming off a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Wall, 30, last played in the 2018-19 season during which he averaged 20.7 points, 8.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds over 32 games.

Houston is hesitant to sell low on Westbrook who, as does James Harden, wants to leave the Rockets. Westbrook was a third-team All-NBA selection last season, averaging 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and seven assists but faced some struggles during the NBA restart coming off coronavirus infection and a quad injury.
