Bogdan Bogdanovic never agreeing on signing a new contract puts the sign-and-trade deal between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Sacramento Kings in immediate danger, reports Sam Amick of The Athletic and according to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Serb guard will try his luck on the market, before making a final decision.
Bogdanovic, 28, was expected to move to Milwaukee with Justin James, while Ersan Ilyasova, Donte DiVincenzo, and D.J. Wilson were on the opposite end of the trade. However, the Serbian sharpshooter himself, a restricted free agent, never agreed to actually ink a contract. This essential part of the deal has evolved into a major issue.
The latest report updating his current status cites a high-ranking team official considering the outcome unclear. Certainly an unexpected turn of events for the Bucks looking to bring in quality players in the effort to convince Giannis Antetokounmpo to sign a super-max contract extension.
