Guard JJ Barea is signing a guaranteed one-year deal worth $2.6M to return to the Dallas Mavericks, according to Shams Charania.
This will prolong Barea’s second stint with the Mavs which started in 2014. His first stint was from 2006 until 2011 – the year Dallas won the NBA championship. In between, Barea spent three years with Minnesota.
Last season, the 36-year-old point guard played a total of 29 games in the regular season and averaged 7.7 points, 3.9 assists and 1.8 boards in around 15 minutes on the court.
