Giannis Antetokounmpo discussed opting to sign the supermax extension with the Milwaukee Bucks via video conference Wednesday. “It was easy to make my decision,” he pointed out and went on from the challenging buildup and his motivation moving forward.

“Have kids and have a championship,” he said replying to a question regarding his vision for the duration of his new contract, “It’s tough. Nowhere guarantees a championship. It might take me ten years to win a championship.”

“I hope my grandkids build a frickin statue for me,” he added moving even further into the future, “I hope they do that shit.”

On another note, he singled out not wanting to see his jersey burned if had decided to depart from the Bucks. “It’s always nice to see kids wear my jersey and are going to be able to watch me play,” he threw in.

The Greek Freak actually asked his mother if she wanted to move and she said no. “This is the place I want to be. This is where I want to raise my kids,” he mentioned regarding staying in Milwaukee.

“It gave me a headache all summer,” he mentioned on not enjoying inquiries about his future, “I knew what I wanted all summer.”
