The new NBA season has just begun in a spectacular fashion for some, while some others will need time to re-adjust. That is not the case for Nikola Jokic who started the 2020-21 campaign with a bust, despite the Nuggets‘ narrow defeat in overtime.

Jokic posted a triple-double of 29 points, 15 rebounds and 14 assists to greet the new season, though the Sacramento Kings prevailed 124-122 in the end.

Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes and Deandre Fox were the leading trio for the winning side, with Hield tapping 22 points and the latter two adding 21 points apiece.

Barnes stole the ball from Jokic with 2.6 seconds left and Buddy tipped in his miss at the buzzer, handing the victory to the Kings and spoiling Jokic’s triple-double night.

King’s Nemanja Bjelica tapped 10 points and 4 rebounds in 16 minutes coming from the bench, while on the other end of the court, Facu Campazzo played 8 games in his first official NBA game, adding 3 points.
