The Heat grabbed their first win of the season on Christmas Day against the New Orleans Pelicans

The Miami Heat registered their first victory of the season on Christmas Day after defeating the New Orleans Pelicans (1-1) 111-98.

Duncan Robinson led the course for the Heat with 23 points, with 7-13 from the three-point line and 5 rebounds, while Bam Adebayo scored 17 points. Goran Dragic nearly touched double-double figures with 18 points and 9 assists along with 4 steals coming from the bench and Tyler Herro had 11 points.

Zion Williamson tapped a game-high for the Pelicans with a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds, followed by Brandon Ingram who tapped 28 points and Josh Hart had 12.

The Heat lost Jimmy Butler early on in the game with a right ankle stiffness in the first half and he did not return to the game, while he left the court with 4 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in 16 minutes.
