The Czech guard is isolated and follows the NBA health protocol

The absence of Chicago Bulls‘ Tomas Satoransky is not a precautionary measure anymore. As coach Billy Donovan stated, the Czech guard and a team support staff member have tested positive for COVID-19.

“He’s obviously got to quarantine and he’s going through the league protocols with that,” Donovan said ahead of the game against the Dallas Mavericks. “We had another support staff person test positive, but the guys that were out on that road trip are still out, they’re not available tonight, so we’ve pretty much have the same group that we had on those three road games, well the last two games against Washington and Milwaukee.”

Bulls forward Chandler Hutchison also tested positive for coronavirus and has remained in Washington, D.C. since the Bulls beat the Wizards on Dec. 31. Satoransky, Lauri Markkanen, and Ryan Arcidiacono also missed that game. The Finnish forward and the Italian-American guard also remain out while under the league’s health and safety protocols.

“That’s gonna be the biggest thing as we go forward here is what happens with some of these guys that are unavailable and in the safety protocol,” Donovan said. “What happens when they get lifted and when they have clearance and that kind of thing.”
