Detroit Pistons‘ guard Killian Hayes has suffered a labral tear in his hip after a drive to the basket against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, his MRI on Tuesday revealed, as The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports.

Hayes was the first Euro-pick in the 2020 NBA draft and the 7th overall pick, coming to the NBA from German side Ulm with which he spent the 2019-20 season. In his rookie season in the NBA, Hayes is already a starter for the Pistons.

His recovery period has not yet been specified but such type of injury could require a rehabilitation period of four to six weeks, or more.
