Luka Doncic appeared to be upset after the Mavs coach didn’t call a timeout late in the game against the Bucks

The early MVP clash between Bucks and Mavericks ended with a win for the Milwaukee side, though it was a pretty heated finale. Luka Doncic was clearly upset during the game when it all came down to the last possessions.

Doncic gestured a “T” with both hands, directed toward the Mavericks’ bench, indicating that he believed coach Rick Carlisle should call a timeout after a potential tying possession ended with missed threes by Trey Burke and Kristaps Porzingis and Doncic not touching the ball.

“It’s Coach’s decision, but if we would have made the shot, everything would be good. But I don’t know. It’s Coach’s decision to call a timeout or no, so I think it’s good,” Doncic said after the game, in which he flirted with triple-double figures (28 points, 13 assists, 9 rebounds).

In the presser that followed the game, the Slovenian star said he had not discussed the situation with coach Carlisle yet. “If we talk, we’re going to talk,” Doncic said. “It’s not going to be in the media. It’s between us”, he added.
