Luka Doncic passed Michael Jordan on the NBA all-time triple-double list but his historic night came in the Dallas Mavericks‘ 117-101 loss to, none other than the Chicago Bulls, Jordan’s former team.

The Slovenian logged 36 points on 6-11 from three, 16 rebounds, 15 assists, and two steals while his fellow European Kristaps Porzingis helped with 20 points.

As much as 30 of Luka’s points came in the first half as he was the only thing keeping the Mavs – who scored a total of 52 points at half – somewhat alive. Doncic reached the 15th spot on the all-time triple-double list with his 29th and is now tied with Grant Hill.

For the Bulls, Lauri Markkanen led the way with 29 points and ten rebounds while Garrett Temple scored 21.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks continued with impressive performances, this time around in a 105-75 road win against the Boston Celtics.

Julius Randle led the way with 20 points and 12 rebounds while RJ Berret had 19 and 11. Immanuel Quickley followed with 17 points and eight assists.

Granted, the losing side couldn’t count on Jayson Tatum but they got Kemba Walker back, although the point guard struggled in his first game back with 1-8 from deep and 3-13 overall. The whole Celtic squad actually had problems from deep as they made only 15% of their three-point shots.

Jaylen Brown scored 25 points and Marcus Smart ten as the only double-digit scorers for Boston.
