Lithuanian center Jonas Valanciunas was placed in the health and safety protocols implemented by the NBA, the Memphis Grizzlies announced Sunday via the list of players ruled out for Monday’s Regular Season contest versus the Phoenix Suns.

Valanciunas, 28, became the latest player to be sidelined due to the coronavirus pandemic impact. He is averaging 14.4 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.8 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, and 0.8 steals per game so far this season.

On a related note, the NBA postponed the match between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Oklahoma City Thunder originally scheduled to be held Sunday due to contact tracing limiting the Sixers below the eight players required to suit up. The contact tracing is related to the game against the Grizzlies played on Saturday, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
