Nikola Vucevic’s huge effort just doesn’t seem to be enough to push the Orlando Magic back on the winning path

Nikola Vucevic posted another strong outing with 24 points and 14 rebounds but it wasn’t enough for the Orlando Magic in the 91-84 loss to the New York Knicks.

Vucevic has been averaging 22+ points and 10+ rebounds so far this season as the Magic hold a 6-8 record and just got passed by the Knicks who improved to 7-8.

In fact, the Montenegrin big posted a 20+, 10+ double-double in five of Orlando’s last six games and the team lost them all. He also went for 30+ points a couple of times.

Aaron Gordon helped him with 18 points, 17 rebounds, and nine assists as did Terrence Ross with 19 points.

However, Julius Randle’s 21 points and 17 rebounds, coupled with RJ Barret’s 22 points and ten boards was too much for the Magic to handle. Especially late down the stretch as the Knicks made a crucial 8-0 run.
