The 2020-21 NBA Regular Season game pitting the Detroit Pistons at home versus the San Antonio Spurs will not take place as originally planned on Tuesday. The NBA postponed the meeting due to the Spurs confirming a positive COVID-19 test and contact tracing limiting available players under the required eight.

Per the press release: “The National Basketball Association game scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 16, between the San Antonio Spurs and the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena has been postponed in accordance with the league’s Health and Safety Protocols.

Due to a positive test within the Spurs and subsequent contact tracing, the team does not have the league-required eight available players to proceed with tomorrow’s game against the Pistons.”

The next scheduled game for the Spurs is against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. The Pistons are set to visit the Dallas Mavericks the same day to start a five-game road trip.
