Chris Paul passed Magic Johnson becoming the player with the most assists in NBA All-Star Game history.

Paul, 35, reached 128 assists in his 11th All-Star appearance. The last part of him dishing out a game-high 16 assists in Atlanta lifted him to first place in the all-time list.

“The way I knew how many assists I needed to break it was my son,” mentioned the Phoenix Suns point guard following the 70th All-Star Game, “My son came up to me at halftime and said, Dad, you need four more assists.”

“To have my dad, my brother, my nephew here for it makes it that much more special,” he added, “My dad is the man who introduced me to the game, the man who taught me how to be a man, the man who taught me about discipline. For him to be here to see it, there’s nothing better than that.”

Teammate and captain, LeBron James did his part in another Top-5 movement involving the list of players with the most final passes in the midseason classic. His four dimes upped his overall tally to 98 and himself to third place over Isiah Thomas.
