From Real Madrid and a different playing style to the Denver Nuggets. Facundo Campazzo going through his first NBA season is putting in the work impressing Michael Malone and his teammates.

“Facu is definitely improving and getting better,” noted the Nuggets boss after Friday’s win against the Chicago Bulls, “For Facu, you are a new player in a new country, a new league, a new team. It will take some time to be a little comfortable. But Facu has the respect of everyone in that locker room. His teammates love him because he leaves his heart on the floor every single night.”

Campazzo, 29, had two points, eight assists, four rebounds, one steal, and one block lasting 34 minutes in his latest NBA outing.

“So it’s great to see him play at such a high level and his ability to impact the game without scoring, his ability to make plays and play for all his teammates. He makes them better,” added Malone.

The Argentine point guard put up 5.2 points, 2.7 assists, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per contest over his first 35 NBA appearances.

“I gain confidence every day thanks to my coach and teammates,” he said, “I think the mentality of being ready for every opportunity is very important. I just try to be ready and put all my energy in every game.”

The Nuggets at 25-16 would like all the help they can get as crunch time in the Regular Season approaches. They are currently tied in fifth place of the Western Conference, part of a crowded race to the playoffs.
