Evan Fournier was clutch for the Orlando Magic against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. His decision to drive was vindicated with the game-winning layup. His side held on in the last 6.4 seconds remaining to secure the win.

For yet another approaching trade deadline, the French swingman looks likely to move. In this case, his contract expiring after the conclusion of the 2020-21 season strengthens the case of him being traded with the deadline only hours away.

“I left my home where I lived with my parents when I was 13 and since then I never stayed in one place for more than two years,” he said noting that he stayed with the Orlando organization for seven years, “I had a son here, I got married and it means more than a lot. I am a totally different man, a different player. If it’s the end, it’s the end, but I obviously love the franchise and the city.”

If he sticks around past the deadline, the Portland Trail Blazers are visiting on Friday with the Magic aiming to improve to 16-29. He has 19.6 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per contest this season.
