French big man Vincent Poirier was involved in a three-team deal at the end of the trade deadline in March and was sent over to the New York Knicks by the Philadelphia 76ers. 27-year-old Poirier spoke about his frustration with the trade in a recent interview, stating that he “wasn’t even informed” by coach Doc Rivers.

The Sixers coach brushed off the French center’s comments before his team took on the Cavs on Thursday. “I don’t get involved with that crap. Vince and I have talked and that kind of talk and all that kind of stuff, that’s for, I guess, newspapers. I’ll let you guys do that. I don’t get involved in that stuff”, Rivers told reporters.

Poirier has been waived by the Knicks four days after his trade and he doesn’t rule out coming back to Europe since he wants to a place where he will get to playing basketball again.
