Antetokounmpo hurt his ankle early in the match.

Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a right ankle sprain just a minute into the game of the Milwaukee Bucks against the Houston Rockets and was forced to exit the match, never to return on the floor. In his absence, the Bucks lost 136 – 143.

“I think we’re hopeful that it’s not serious,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said after the game. “We’ll see how he respond to treatment tonight and treatment tomorrow. We’re getting an update at some point tomorrow.”

Antetokounmpo, the reigning NBA MVP, was probable for the match due to an injury on the same ankle. He played 46 seconds and scored a a free throw before hurting his ankle while stepping on Kelly Olynyk’s foot during a layup attempt in transition.
