Maccabi Tel Aviv swingman Elijah Bryant will be leaving the team to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks, Roi Cohen of Israeli Sport 5 reported first and Eurohoops can confirm.

The Bucks will pay to Maccabi a buyout sum of around $500,000 to get the player who is leaving for Milwaukee tomorrow (9/5).

Initially, Maccabi was not eager to part ways with the player. However, with Bryant being a free agent in a few weeks and the Israeli club being in danger of losing him without any compensation, Maccabi decided to accommodate him in getting an NBA deal, while also getting a buyout for his expiring contract.

Bryant, 26, becomes the fourth player of a 2020-21 EuroLeague roster who is leaving for the NBA after Facu Campazzo, Gabriel Deck, and Luca Vildoza. Maccabi had been eliminated from the EuroLeague playoffs but is still competing in the Israeli Winner League.

In the 2020-21 EuroLeague, Bryant averaged 9.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 23:19 minutes.
