A few hours after the Hall of Fame induction ceremony for the class of 2020, Toni Kukoc finally earned his long-overdue honor and was named into the Hall of Fame Class of 2021, as announced Sunday.

Kukoc, a three-time NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls, three-time EuroLeague champion and multi-medalist in international competitions highlights an elite selection of players and coaches, that also includes Paul Pierce, Chris Bosh, Chris Webber, Ben Wallace, Rick Adelman, Jay Wright, Bill Russell, Yolanda Griffith and Lauren Jackson.

Kukoc, a long-overdue inductee, arguably, addressed the HoF ‘snub’ about a year ago during an interview.

“I have no influence in my induction into the Hall of Fame. People are asked to decide and I’d really like to know who these people are. It’s allegedly unknown who they are because they haven’t been presented publicly. I really don’t know whether or not I’ll ever enter the Hall of Fame. Would I like it? Of course, I would! Well, another year has passed but nothing happened.”

Now the time has finally come.
