There’s no doubt in Damian Lillard’s mind as to who should be the 2021 NBA MVP.
In an interview to Sam Amick and The Athletic, Lillard chose Denver Nuggets‘ Nikola Jokic as the MVP of the season. The Portland Trail Blazers superstar picked Jokic not only because the Serbian big man been virtually unstoppable throughout the season but also because he has played in every single game.
Here’s what Lillard said on Jokic, per The Athletic:
“I mean, I don’t think he’s missed a game this entire season.
He’s been dominating from start to finish. They are the three seed in the Western Conference. The numbers are there. I mean, (it’s) him or Embiid. I don’t see how you don’t give it to him or Embiid. And I would give it to him over Embiid just because Embiid missed games. He’s played more games than everybody. He’s been in every game, and he’s performed. Jamal Murray got hurt. Will Barton got hurt. And they kept rolling.”
