The Portland Trail Blazers beat the Denver Nuggets 115 – 95 at home to tie the Western Conference first-round series 22. The Blazers absolutely dominated the Nuggets in the second half and were even up by 33 in the third period.
Norman Powell finished with 29 points while CJ McCollum contributed 21 points plus eight assists. Jusuf Nurkic had 17 points and seven rebounds, Carmelo Anthony had 12 points in his 37th birthday and Damian Lillard flirted with the triple-double, posting 10 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds.
Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic was held to 16 points on 7-18 shots and didn’t have his usual impact on the team’s offense, finishing with just one assists. Denver struggled on offense, especially in the third period when Portland overpowered them 35 – 19.
Facu Campazzo notched 12 points plus seven assists and Marcus Morris also scored 12.
