Davis Bertans has most likely finished his season after suffering a grade 2 calf strain

By Eurohoops team / info@eurohoops.net

An MRI revealed a grade 2 calf strain for the Washington Wizards forward Davis Bertans, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, and he will need four-to-six weeks for recovery.

That means bad news for the Wizards who just barely managed to stay in the series against the Philadelphia 76ers and cut the deficit to 3-1, following the injury of Joel Embiid for the opposing squad.

Washington’s fans got their hopes up with Embiid sidelined and their team winning Game 4 but it will be even harder to bounce back now without the Latvian sharpshooter who scored 15 points in the clash.

The Wizards were already dealing with injuries as Deni Avdija and Thomas Bryant have been missing while Russell Westbrook has had his own issues that he’s been playing through.
