Donovan Mitchell scored 37 points as the Utah Jazz beat the Los Angeles Clippers 117 – 111 to go up 2-0 in the Western Conference semifinals.

The Jazz had a 9-0 run after Paul George made it 104 – 103 from the line and overall kept the Clippers scoreless for four out of the last 5:35 minutes to enter crunch time with a 10-point lead. The Clippers cut it to 113-108 with a minute left, but Mitchell then hit a jumper to keep his team at a safe distance.

Reggie Jackson (29 points), Paul George (25 points, 10 rebounds, six rebounds) and Kawhi Leonard (21 points) were the only Clippers players with more than eight points.

Apart from Mitchell, Joe Ingles scored 19, Bojan Bogdanovic 16 and Rudy Gobert delivered 13 points plus 20 rebounds.
