Luka Doncic gets his own day by the Dallas County Commissioners Court

Today, July 6, 2021, became “Luka Doncic Day” in Dallas County, as announced on Tuesday.

The Dallas County Commissioners Court recognized his NBA accomplishments, including named to the All-NBA First Team for the second year in a row, as noted in the official briefing shared by Tamara Jolee. His community work off the court is also honored by the gesture.

Luka Doncic, after the NBA Playoffs exit of the Dallas Mavericks, guided Slovenia to the Olympic Qualifying Tournament triumph clinching the Olympic Games berth. After the Tokyo Games, he will turn his focus on the next NBA season.

The Slovenian superstar recorded 27.7 points, 8.6 assists, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per match in the Regular Season of his third year in the NBA. He went on with 35.7 points per postseason fixture but the Mavs were eliminated by the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round for the second consecutive season.
