Barcelona guard Rokas Jokubaitis was named to the roster of the New York Knicks for the upcoming Summer League, the team announced. Jokubaitis was selected by the Knicks with the 34th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Earlier this summer, Jokubaitis signed a five-year deal with Barcelona. Blaugrana coach Sarunas Jasikevicius had said that he expects the Lithuanian player will stay with the team, something that is the most likely scenario right now.

Barcelona has announced that preparation for the next season will begin in August 19.

Jokubaitis joined Barcelona after playing three seasons in EuroLeague with Zalgiris Kaunas. He had 7.0 points and 2.5 assists in 20:55 minutes in 2020-21.

The Knicks have also added former Baskonia guard Luca Vildoza to their Summer League squad.
