Kemba Walker is expected to reach a buyout agreement with the Oklahoma City Thunder and is headed to the New York Knicks, according to reports by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

After signing a four-year, $140 million contract with the Boston Celtics, the point guard was traded to Oklahoma this offseason (he was part of the trade that included the No. 16 overall pick in the 2021 draft and a 2025 second-round draft pick to Thunder for Al Horford, Moses Brown, and a 2023 second-round pick).

Per Wojnarowski, Thunder GM Sam Presti’s and Walker’s agents worked through buyout on the two years, with still $74M left on the player’s contract in recent days.

The veteran four-time All-Star guard spent the last two seasons with the Celtics, averaging 19.3 points and 4.9 assists per contest.
