Indiana wants to start over and Sabonis may need to find a new home in the NBA

With the Pacers having a mediocre start in the season, according to the Athletic, a total rebuild is on the cards. Indiana wants to start over and that means even trading their biggest assets, including Lithuanian All-Star power forward Domantas Sabonis, center Myles Turner, and guard Caris LeVert.

It remains to be seen if that’s the case, however, if rebuilding is on the cards, then leaving Indiana might be the best-case scenario for those three players.

The Pacers (10-16) entered Tuesday sitting in 13th place in the 15-team Eastern Conference under new coach Rick Carlisle and even if they are just four games away from the play-ins, according to the report it might be a time for a change.

Indiana is counting on rookie shooting guard Chris Duarte and rookie power forward Isaiah Jackson and also small forward T.J. Warren can be used as a trade chip.

Meanwhile, Pacers point guard T.J. McConnell underwent wrist surgery and could be out for the season.
